Member of the Month: August

These two ladies have been grinding from day one. Every week they have gotten stronger and faster and the weight has flown off them. Every morning they come to compete and work hard against each other and we are proud to have two strong ladies like these apart of our family. Here they are:

Tell us about yourself:  My name is Kyndal. I am a stay at home mom of a 3yr old and 10 month old girls. Love my job but sometimes get a little stir crazy After my 2nd baby I was determined to get my butt back in shape.

What has been your experience at ANCF: I found a groupon for ANCF and decided I would give it a try. After my 1st child I tried crossfit for a little while, at another box, but really didn't get into it, but decided to give it another try. After a month I was hooked. I love the atmosphere, people, and even the workouts.


What is your favorite workout/moment:  
I really don't have a "favorite" workout, they all kick my butt, but that's what keeps me coming back for more. Love it when I see people and they can really notice a change in me. I am stronger, more energetic, and more determined than ever.

What is your most embarrassing moment: My most embarrassing moment was probably when I first started out and I was doing the duck walk....tripped and face-planted. Lol. Still weary of the duck walk

 

Tell us about yourself: My name is Lindsey and I just turned 30! Eeek! I’m a stay at home momma of two little girls. Halle is almost 3 and Hanna is 17 mo. My hubby usually works late in the evenings so that is why you will always find me at the 5am class. I started crossfit in March. My daughter was about to be one and I was ready to make a change. I NEEDED to do something… anything (besides eat cookies!)

What has been your experience at ANCF: I decided to give it try not thinking I would ever like it this much. I was instantly hooked. I was sore as ever and wanting to go back the next day for more. CRAZY! I am so glad my friend, Kyndal, encouraged me to start. I’m grateful for her because she keeps me accountable and pushes me. We have this friendly competition going on and I love it! Crossfit is so intense and brutal but so rewarding at the same time. I feel so amazing when its all said and done. Needless to say, I never thought I’d enjoy waking up at 4am…for anything.

What is your favorite workout/moment: I can't pinpoint a favorite workout. They are all pretty deceiving. The WOD’s that don’t look that bad on paper are the ones that I struggle with the most and vice versa. I like doing box jumps. I ‘m becoming more fond of overhead squats too. I like being challenged and most of all I like fitting into all those pre baby clothes!

What is your most embarrassing moment: My most embarrassing moment involves box jumping, too. I think it was my very first time to actually jump on the box and not step up. We were finding our max and it was taking everything I had to JUST jump. It is very intimidating at first. I felt so silly & embarrassed. I also managed to hit my hand and bust it open on the weights or something which was pretty comical as well. V gave me that crazy look like ”really?” Luckily it was open gym and no one was around to see how ridiculous I was being.
