Huge shout out to Tim Denney on being the member of the month for September!! Tim has become a regular fixture at our 5am class and has taken his fitness to another level. Tim has started competing in local competitions and we could not be prouder of him and his drive for success. He truly exemplifies what it means to be All or Nothing and we are proud he is our Member of the Month for September.
Tell Us About Yourself:
I will be 45 in Nov and I am in the best shape/ condition of my life. I have two sons who are married to some wonderful ladies. I've been married to my high school girlfriend for 25 years and wouldn't change a thing. I love seeing people push themselves and do better.
What Has Been Your Experience with ANCF:
I started ANCF when my oldest son, Cameron, asked me to start going with him. We came and from the first day the coaches have been instrumental in our progress. Their knowledge and passion are evident (especially when you PR!) and without that, I wouldn't be where I am today. We love the place and all of the folks.
What Is Your Favorite Moment/Workout:
Actually I have a couple. 1) One day, not too long after I started, I walk in and there is a bar on the platform with 325 on it. I go through a bit of a warmup and got to thinking, "I wonder if I can lift that?" Well, I walk over and grab it and deadlifted it! It was not any kind of correct form, but it was off the ground. 2). During the Gabriel comp, I was into the first WOD and was not in a good place. I had come out of the gate too hard and was in trouble. Cameron gets there and walks up without me seeing him and starts cheering me on and over all the other folks, his voice stood out and it got me through.
What Is Your Most Embarrassing Moment: There are a couple of these as well and some I'm probably forgetting. 1) I had watched Froning do Grace one day in a little over a minute and thought, "Surely I can do it in a little over 2 minutes!", so I tried. Well 3:37 minutes later, I was a sweaty heap on the floor. The embarrassment, my cockiness in thinking and telling everyone I could do it. 2) I was setting up for something on a rack over by the platform and kind of threw a 45 over. It took a bounce and went right into the wall. Yes that fresh hole is from me. Sorry guys.
Great Job Tim!
